The Casa de Abobe, adjacent to the Southwest Museum, was competed in 1918 by the Hispanic Society of California and donated to the museum in 1925.
Modeled after Rancho Guajome, a pre-1850s Spanish California rancho, the Casa was designed by and constructed in the traditional manner by local adobe craftsman. The Casa's holdings include furniture, paintings, decorative arts, tin work and religious folk art. Not open to the public.

This small park commemorates the signing of the Treaty of Cahuenga which was negotiated in 1847; the treaty signalled the end of hostilities in California in the Mexican-American War. Open by appointment. The adobe is a 1950 replica of the Cahuenga Adobe built on the site in 1845.
