| Closed for renovation till May 14, 2006 Located in Griffith Park. Designed by John C. Austin and F. M. Ashley, it opened May 14, 1935 to provide public access to the cosmic discoveries of astronomy and modern science. The structure is one of the finest examples of Art Deco design of the 1930's.
