Catalina Verdugo Adobe
Glendale's oldest building was built around 1828. The home is closed but can be viewed from the outside.
The Oak of Peace, on its grounds, is said to have been the site where Jesus Pico and other
"Californio" leaders of Mexican California decided to surrender to the American forces of John
Fremont on January 11, 1847. California State Historic Landmark 637.
