Why did I need to give my order to 5 worker bees? When I got to the guy that assembled my sandwich, I told him "Mike's way" (which is a standard option with specific ingredients) and then proceeded to ask me if I wanted each ingredient. The same guy moved my sandwich to the cash register and asked me which sandwich I ordered. I asked the manager: Why not write things down? Answer: We write down the order only for hot sandwiches. I then asked why they ask for names instead of using numbers. His answer: Corporate will not allow us, and they want to "get up close and personal." I replied "I don't want to get up close and personal, I just want to order a sandwich? We go to many restaurants in the San Fernando Valley and to our knowledge, only four use names instead of numbers. We do not frequent those places.
