Mission San Fernando
The San Fernando Mission was founded in 1797 by Padre Fermon Lasuen, the president of
the missons, to close the gap between San Gabriel and Ventura Missions. It was named
in honor of the sainted 13th century King Ferdinand of Spain. Enter through the gift
shop (off the parking lot) for a self-guided tour of the grounds, furnished rooms and museum.
Open the the public
Daily from 9 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. and
Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4:14 p.m. Admission: Adults $4.00 and children (7-15) $3.00;
