Heritage Square. Built in 1893 by Gilbert Longfellow in Pasadena and moved to Heritage Square in 1986, this is only one of two eight-sided houses remaining in California and the only one in Southern California. Octagonal house design was briefly in vogue in the Nineteenth Century. Open Friday through Sunday 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. Declared: 1/20/89
