Mansion Adena Map
Ruth Jennings
Built in 1886 by a retired farmer from Iowa, the flamboyant Victorian architecture consists of a blending of Eastlake, Italiante and Queen Anne. The design emphasizes the corner by the placement of the stairs, the mansard tower and the two-story encircling porch. Built of redwood, with 12 rooms and a basement the house features original double front doors with their original display of fabulous glass panels, sliding doors of mahogany, six fireplaces, five bedrooms, front and back parlor and two sun rooms. The home is the only of three alike in Pasadena still standing.
